How to Prepare for Infrared Sauna Session
Here are quick answers to what most people wonder before their first infrared sauna session.
How should I prepare?
Drink plenty of water today, have a light snack an hour or two beforehand, and skip the alcohol. If you're pregnant or have a medical condition, please check with your doctor first. We'll provide a towel for you to wrap around your body, so there's no need to bring a swimsuit. That's really it: just bring you!
What will it feel like?
A gentle, deep warmth that's soothing rather than overwhelming. Optimal sauna experience is between 100°F and 130°F. Everyone sweats differently, and you may not sweat much during your first few sessions. That's completely normal, and sweat tends to increase with regular use.
How long is the session, and what do I do?
About 30 to 45 minutes. Enjoy the soothing music, listen to your favorite audiobook, meditate, or simply be. Sip water as you like, and feel free to adjust the air vent above you (just look up!) to stay comfortable. If you ever feel dizzy or too warm, step out and cool down. Your comfort always comes first.
What happens afterward?
Dry off with our hot towel and/or skin cleansing towels (infused with tea tree, eucalyptus, aloe and chamomile). Then help yourself to our drinks and amenities, including moisturizer, dry shampoo and more. They're our gift to you, at no extra cost! Take a few minutes to cool down and rehydrate.
